Perrin & Fils Chateauneuf du Pape "Les Sinards", 2003

Perrin & Fils Chateauneuf du pape “Les Sinards”, 2003
From the Perrin family – owners of Chateau de Beaucastel – the finest estate in Chateauneuf du Pape. Perrin Chateauneuf du Pape Les Sinards is made from the traditional varieties of Chateauneuf du Pape from two vineyard sites within the Chateau de Beaucastel estate, and from three top quality vineyards owned by the Perrin family within the older sections of the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation. This wine, like all of the Perrin and Beaucastel wines, is produced from estate owned vineyards and is designed to reflect the various terroir within Chateauneuf du Pape.
Predominately Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvedre, the wine is rich and silky with a deep red color. With the gamy, earthy quality that Beacastel is know for, les Sinards is long on the palate with rounded tannins.

Considering this is all estate fruit and partially from the Beaucastel Estate – this wine is very well priced and one of the bargains of its category.
