Pink Champagnes and Sparkling wines are delicious, but I have also found them not to be for every one's palate. The confusion begins with knowing if they are dry or sweet - I think the general first impression is that pink = sweet, which is not always true. Then there is the cost issue, which for some rose Champagne can be quite high, but not for all. True rose made in the traditional method is a bit more costly to make as there are more controls and care needed to get it right, hence the higher costs. There are great affordable rose, well suited for any palate and for a wide variety of foods or occasions - as this article suggests.
