Mitchell's Homemade Falernum

It's Tiki Drink time and one of those ingredients that always stumbles people when looking at the classic cocktails lists is Falernum. Today I decided to take matters into my own hands and craft (with a recipe built from a mix of others) a Falernum that worked around my personal taste preferences, especially my fondness for aged rum.

A combination of Nutmeg, Coriander, Allspice, Cloves, Lime zest, Ginger and aged Rum from Berkshire Mountain Distillers. This will settled for a day or so and then blended into a syrup with a touch of almond extract to add depth.

This week will be perfect testing some classic tikis and swizzles. Updates to come...
